I’ve made a arcade emulator in flash. pls check it out here!
It emulates games that run on the m6809 and Z80 CPU.
There are currently 27 games with an average framerate of 45-60.
Pls. let me know how fast it runs for you.
Sorry, this is not an open source project.
**WARNING**
1) There is currently no sound, but maybe in the future with flash player 10.
2) do not use the debug player, cause it runs very slow at about 15-30fps.

This is very good! I am very impressed to see this working so well. Got 24 fps on a Mac Mini g4. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations, this is one of the most impressive Flash technical demo I’ve ever seen !
How did you manage to import the roms file in Flash? Do you “prepare” them with an additional program that generate easier to handle data, or does AS does all the import/parsing job ?

WOW! I wanted to build something like this ages ago…I still am not skilled enough to write an emulator in as3. Great work! BTW, I’m a huge fan of old school games and I have a GamePark console, any ideas if I can run Flash Player 9 on it ?

Very cool, most the games run at 82fps for me on a 3ghz Core 2 Duo.

Incredible technical achievement ! Keep up the good work ! (set on your published html the quality to ‘LOW’ mode to gain extra fps !). I’ve been waiting for this to happen and you made it ! No more retroengineering … Greetings from France !

Great job, I was thinking Flash was not ready to allow a port of MAME… I was wrong. Impressive skills, continue good work!

Check easyretro.com for the same thing, faster, with more modern games, and hiscores. They just blew it.
